Sometimes 7Canaries refuses to open .cda files from Audio CD's. There are several possible reasons for that:
| · | The *.cda file resides on a network CD-drive. It is physically impossible to get access to the actual audio data through the network.
| · | The *.cda file was copied from CD to some other drive. CDA files are just pointers, and they are not valid when copied to some other location.
| · | Your CD drive is old and it does not support digital audio data transfer. This is a usual case if your drive's speed is less than 8x.
| · | You use NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP and you do not have administrative privileges on your machine. In this case, audio data transmission is denied by operating system. We are working on fixing this issue. For now, we recommend to ask your system administrator to grant you administrative rights.
Note: 7Canaries doesn't open CD files on some systems for an unknown reason. In case you cannot open your CD file, we recommend you record a WAVE file or use any third-party CD- ripping program.
